Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION - CLEARWATER, LLC in Florida is seeking an entry-level masking operator to prepare parts for coating and painting. You will follow drawings and specs to apply masking materials and perform necessary pre/post-processing steps while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to work with measurement tools. You will report defects and adhere to production documentation and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.

• Understand paint mixing and disposal.
• Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Mastery of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic masking per drawings, specifications, & work instructions.

• Performs hot wash duties.
• Conducts visual inspection for surface defects, completeness, & orientation.
• Maintains clean & organized work areas & tools.
• Follows all safety, quality, & environmental procedures.
• Completes required production & quality documentation.
• Reports defects, discrepancies, or missing information to Lead or Supervisor.
• Able to maintain a minimal efficiency rate of 80% within the first six months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include , but are not limited to :

Performs basic masking per drawings, specifications, & work instructions.

Applies masking materials per drawings & specifications to protect critical surfaces.

Prepares parts for chemical processing, coating, or painting.

Identifies coating keep-out zones & critical features.

Performs hot wash duties.

Conducts visual inspection for surface defects, completeness, & orientation.

Maintains clean & organized work areas & tools.

Follows all safety, quality, & environmental procedures.

Completes required production & quality documentation.

Reports defects, discrepancies, or missing information to Lead or Supervisor.

Able to maintain a minimal efficiency rate of 80% within the first six months.

Overtime as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of relevant experience

High school degree or equivalent

Excellent attention to detail

Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements

Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)

Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time

Capable of standing for long periods
