Red Bull New York is seeking a lively Mascot Handler to represent the brand at events and matches, engaging fans of all ages with an energetic personality and assisting REDD with his on-field antics.

The role involves maintaining mascot props, costumes, and skit items, supporting ideation sessions for in-game entertainment, and coordinating with game presentation staff to ensure a memorable fan experience across the Tri-State area.

Formación

• Experience as a mascot or mascot handler is preferred.
• Strong fan-engagement and entertainment skills.
• Availability for regular season and playoff games, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to problem-solve in live sports environments to keep events on-script and safe.

About the Role

The Mascot Handler supports REDD as a pivotal addition to the Red Bull New York organisation and fan base, representing the brand at events and matches. The role involves engaging audiences of all ages with a lively personality and assisting REDD with his antics and duties. The handler is expected to exemplify the organisation's core values through their actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Mascot Handler for appearances (internal and external) as well as match days.
• Assist REDD with antics and duties during appearances and matches.
• Maintain and create mascot props, costumes, and skit items as needed.
• Assist REDD in ideation sessions throughout the season (in-game skits, social media content, and external requests) when needed.
• Assist in game-day preparation, including rolling t-shirts, organising seat and suite visits, handing out prizes to fans, and going over the game schedule ahead of time.
• Communicate strongly over headset with all game presentation staff during games.
• Engage fans of all ages with proper customer support and help make their time at games special and memorable.
• Perform other fast-paced game-day duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Availability to work regular season and playoff games, as well as mascot appearances.
• Flexibility to work regular season and playoff match days, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to adapt to different environments to provide the best game experience for fans.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly in a live sports setting to ensure scripted events hit properly and that performer and fan safety is maintained.
• Outgoing personality with a passion for entertainment within sports and comedy.
• Dependable transportation to and from matches and appearances in the Tri-State area.
• Knowledge of MLS, general soccer knowledge, and the culture of supporters and fans.

Preferred Skills

• Prior professional mascot or mascot handler experience is strongly preferred.

Workplace

• Hours are contingent upon incoming requests.
• Office hours will be subject to the needs of the mascot programme.
