Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to support the State and Local Government practice with an emphasis on Maryland. The role involves leading delivery teams, advising state agencies, and driving business development across Maryland-based engagements.

The candidate will mentor staff, manage cross-functional projects, and build strong client relationships, particularly with Maryland state government and Baltimore/Annapolis-area agencies. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years
• Experience with Maryland state government or similar public-sector environments
• Strong program management and project delivery experience across cross-functional teams
• General technology implementation skills and client service for mission-driven organizations
• Proven ability to lead teams, provide feedback, and manage staff workloads

Responsabilités

• Lead project delivery teams, overseeing scope, timelines, budgets, and resources across engagements
• Serve as trusted advisor to Maryland state agencies and local government clients
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to junior- and mid-level staff
• Drive and support business development: RFP responses, proposals, client presentations, and account planning
• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and internal Guidehouse teams in Maryland
• Translate strategy into action for Health and Human Services and other mission-driven sectors
