Mary & Elizabeth 3C - RN, Adult Inpatient Psych, 7p-7a, FT

We are hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital for the Adult Inpatient Psych unit, 3C, with a shift from 7p to 7a, full-time.

Position Overview: The RN will deliver nursing care to patients of varying age groups, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to practice standards. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, medication administration, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct systematic assessments of patient health status from admission to discharge.
  • Administer medications and assess their effects, ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Provide patient and family education, evaluate responses, and revise care plans accordingly.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, including delegating to unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance, and participate in orientation and supervision of new staff and students.
  • Act as relief charge nurse when needed.
  • Engage in continuing education and evidence-based practice activities.
  • Communicate effectively within the team, resolve conflicts, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.

Shift Details: 7p-7a, full-time, with potential flexibility for shorter shifts. Overtime may be required occasionally.
