Mary & Elizabeth 3A - RN, Neuro PCU, 7p-7a WOW, FT

We are hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, part of UofL Health, for the Neuro PCU 3A unit. This full-time position offers a 7p-7a shift with a WOW schedule.

About the Role

The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of varying age groups, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to practice standards. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, administering medications, planning and implementing patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care based on current scientific knowledge and standards.
  • Assess patient health status systematically and continuously.
  • Administer medications and evaluate their effects.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Implement nursing interventions and evaluate their outcomes.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with unlicensed assistive personnel and other team members.
Additional Duties
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
  • Orient and supervise new staff and students.
  • Participate in evidence-based practice activities and quality improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including HIPAA.
Shift Details

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours, with flexibility for shorter shifts. Overtime may be required occasionally.

Qualifications
