The Employer & Individual MarTech Process Lead role is responsible for leading the improvement, creation, and implementation of process workflows across a variety of Marketing initiatives. This role will utilize established process best practices, artifacts and approaches to develop processes and documentation for E&I Marketing’s end-to-end business activities. As the Process Lead, the candidate will have experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, implementing both standardized processes as well as having the flexibility to implement structured yet customized processes based on the needs of individual teams. Key to the role is process design and documentation to ensure Marketers are clear on how to complete tasks and implement initiatives.

A key responsibility for E&I MarTech Process Lead will focus on the Operating Model within the Marketing Evolution program, devising and ensuring clarity across Marketing personnel through accurate documentation, reference materials, for all MarTech business processes. This role will collaborate with UHG Shared Services teams across the enterprise to determine roles and responsibilities, team handoffs, documentation, SLAs, operationalize campaign orchestration/Journey Management, and requisite data integration to support AJO/AEP/CJA workstreams.

Additional process opportunities span the department’s Project Management tools and MarTech platforms, to ensure efficiency and maximize speed to market. In the long term, the focus will expand to ownership of process documentation and improvement for the entire MarTech stack of E&I.

This process work will complement enterprise MarTech solution development and implementation by sourcing existing and developing new documentation as needed to meet E&I Marketing and Marketing Operations’ aspects of the broader enterprise Marketing Evolution solution program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement: Lead process design and partner with Marketing teams in process improvement activities, diagnose process improvement opportunities, and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools
  • Collaboration with Business Partners: Work with various E&I business partners across the department to define, develop, and request campaign set-up and reporting approaches, ensuring alignment with necessary Marketing and Marketing Operations teams and other partners
  • Documentation and Process Development: Establish process documentation quickly and iterate as needed to support fast-changing, complex projects
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively engage stakeholders to develop solutions, serving as a key resource on complex and/or critical process issues
  • Problem Solving and Innovation: Assess, break down, and understand complex problems and evolving MarTech solutions, innovating business processes as needed
  • Communication and Training: Provide explanations to others with accessible non-technical information on the most complex issues, motivate team members, and educate business partners to facilitate effective solution implementation. The ability to train and provide support for MarTech training efforts is required
  • Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Monitor ongoing progress of business processes to identify potential challenges, risks, and/or defects, and utilize stakeholder feedback and process performance information to identify potential continuous improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading process implementation for existing and new initiatives
  • 3+ years of direct experience in marketing, communications, media, or advertising organization
  • Proven successful implementation of processes that delivered efficiency, cost savings, improved use of technology or related results
  • Experience with process artifacts and documentation, requirements analysis, coordination within a MarTech or similar environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Certification - SAFe Agilist, CSM, Scrum Master, POPM or other
  • 5+ years of experience in a deadline driven environment
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating organization skills
  • 5+ years of experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience influencing and collaborating with others
  • 3+ years process launch or training experience
  • Direct experience in MarTech and familiarity with modern MarTech tools
  • Demonstrated ability and passion to continuously learn new MarTech platforms and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity in a fast-paced, changing environment

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
