Sequoia Counseling in Fair Oaks, CA is hiring an Associate Therapist (AMFT, APCC) for full- or part-time work. You will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, and guide clients through crises, with paid supervision and non-clinical time.

Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Responsibilities

• Perform intake assessments


• Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children


• Create individualized treatment plans for each client


• Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments


• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan


• Perform regular wellness checks


• Adhere to all facility and licensing standards

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Counseling


• Associate number assigned


• Current and unrestricted marriage and family therapy license


• Previous experience as a marriage and family therapist preferred


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Highly organized

• Competitive Pay: $40-48/hour (includes paid documentation time)(paid supervision)

• No Supervision Fees: Individual and group supervision provided (Paid Supervision).


• Paid Advanced Training: Brainspotting, DBT, OCD, and trauma Training


• Professional Development: Learn private practice business skills

• Caseload flow given to the therapist, Care Coordinator handles all documentation and scheduling

What You'll Do

• Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families.


• Maintain a caseload of 20-32 clients/week (flexible part-time options available).


• Deliver trauma-informed, compassionate, and evidence-based care.


• Participate in weekly individual and group supervision. Paid


• Complete documentation and notes, preparation time... Paid

What We're Looking For

• Active BBS registration as AMFT, APCC, or ASW (California).


• Training or interest in trauma modalities such as Brainspotting, EMDR, or DBT.


• Commitment to compassionate, client-centered work.
