The Opportunity:
As Marketplace General Manager (MGM) for Northern Virginia, you will be at the forefront of regional growth for the Autura Marketplace. Your core responsibility will be to identify, close, and support new impound and towing sellers on our platform. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle—from prospecting and working with internal buyer development teams to launching and maintaining high-performing marketplace sellers in partnership with the Customer Success teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full sales cycle for impound and towing accounts—from initial outreach to onboarding and activation on the Autura Marketplace platform
- Prospect for new partners, including impound lots for Private Property Impounds PPI, private towing companies, and police rotation yards across Northern Virginia
- Collaborate closely with the Buyer Development team to ensure robust buyer demand and alignment with seller capabilities.
- Close deals with new accounts and coordinate with Customer Success for a seamless launch and ongoing support/
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and display great project management skills, during early adoption to ensure seller engagement and inventory throughput.
- Provide regional market insights and competitive feedback to help shape product direction and marketing strategy.
- Participate in industry events, association meetings, and on-site visits to build trust and expand influence.
- Must manage customers' interactions and sales-related activities promptly through salesforce
What You Bring:
- 5+ years in sales, account management, or business development—preferably in automotive, towing, SaaS, or digital marketplace environments.
- Proven experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the towing/impound industry or government-related vehicle operations.
- Hunter mindset and action biased with the ability to build, manage, and close a high-velocity pipeline.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally with Sales, Buyer Development, and Customer Success teams
- Great Willingness to travel, mostly in Northern Virginia to build face-to-face relationships. Expect to be on the road majority of your work week.
