About Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa:

As a member of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort team, you will meet and engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer and help them experience our world-class amenities such as the state-of-the-art Wild Bear Falls water park.

Job Description

Serves as primary contact to guests and team members upon arrival in outlet and on phone. Specifically responsible for the following detailed duties:

  • Present menu to guests and respond to menu item inquiries professionally and accurately.
  • Take guest food orders in person, via telephone, and follow department guidelines.
  • Confirm and complete daily reservation lists.
  • Assist other positions in the department for support and assistance.
  • Accept approved forms of payment adhering to accounting standards, credit cards, vouchers, and in-house charges.
  • Greet all guests within visible areas.
  • Select requested food items from serving/kitchen or storage areas and assemble items for guest pickup.
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques to provide helpful guest service and maximize sales.
  • Record information pertaining to services rendered.
  • Arrange restaurant reservations for guests following department guidelines.
  • Comply with department standard operating procedures, including service standards, cash/check handling, menu interpretation, safety and security, stocking, and requisitioning.
  • Adhere to government and company safety, security, and sanitation requirements.
  • Follow discount/complimentary guest check procedures.
  • Participate in the company’s monthly Goals & Measurements Program.
  • Provide excellent service to owners and guests.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and complaints professionally and urgently.
  • Follow guest walk-out department procedures.
  • Comprehend daily features/specials and memorize regular food menus and beverage lists.
  • Apply menu knowledge to successful suggestion selling techniques.
  • Complete opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
  • Forward vendor supply invoices/package item detail slips to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Comply with department vehicle and key security procedures.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
