Marketing Strategy Associate - Walt Disney World Merchandise

The Marketing Strategy organization for the Walt Disney World Resort is responsible for driving consumer demand, achieving revenue goals, and supporting overall The Walt Disney Company initiatives. The team develops business and communication strategies and partners with cross-disciplinary teams to create campaigns that influence consumer behavior.

The Marketing Strategy Associate for Walt Disney World Merchandise supports the execution of marketing campaigns, reviews and proofs materials, monitors project timelines, manages ICP tactics, maintains budgets, and assists with after-action reviews. This role provides a solid foundation for developing and refining skills in commercial marketing, planning, and promotions.

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the development and execution of integrated communication plans throughout the year.
  2. Create and maintain strategic documents for internal and partner use, acting as a key integrator within the marketing team.
  3. Assist with evaluating campaign creative to ensure it aligns with strategic inputs.
  4. Develop After Action Reviews through research and analysis, including measurements, results, and actionable insights.
  5. Provide daily support across multiple projects and initiatives, with flexibility to take on new projects at various stages of planning and implementation.
  6. Lead website updates to ensure consistency with positioning and strategic priorities.
  7. Support partners with approval processes and serve as a subject matter expert on Disney marketing guidelines, including photo usage, terminology, and trademark rules.
  8. Manage and track budgets to ensure optimal fund allocation and utilization.
  9. Stay informed about the competitive landscape to help inform marketing strategy and decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
  1. 2+ years of relevant work experience in marketing.
  2. Technical marketing skills to inspire and lead strategic input for creative communication planning.
  3. Experience with multiple marketing platforms including website, social media, print, digital media, CRM, outdoor, etc.
  4. Ability to develop strategic input, business cases, and marketing communication plans.
  5. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  6. Experience in building positive relationships to achieve results.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
Preferred Education:

MBA or Master’s in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
