Description du poste

At Axcel Learning, we offer the best of both worlds: the entrepreneurial spirit and agility of a start-up, backed by the stability and resources of a larger portfolio backed by a PE firm. We’re building something meaningful, helping people gain the skills and training they need to advance their careers. Every team member plays a direct role in that mission. We prioritize honesty, respect, and putting learners first. You’ll find room to run, opportunities to grow, and a high-energy team that’s as motivated by outcomes as it is by having fun along the way.

The Impact You’ll Make

We’re looking for a hands-on marketer to own organic social media and community events for our Healthcare vertical. You’ll work across two brands: HealthStaff Training Institute (HSTI), which prepares students for careers in healthcare, and KMK Optometry, which prepares optometry students for their board exams. Sitting on the Marketing team, you’ll set the social strategy for both brands and create the content yourself.

You’ll also be the in-person face of our Healthcare brands in Los Angeles. You’ll plan and run the events where we meet prospective students, schools, employers, and workforce partners, then turn what happens there into leads and content.

What You’ll Own

Organic Social Strategy & Content Calendar

  • Set the organic social strategy for HSTI and KMK, including channel priorities, content themes, posting cadence, and goals for each brand
  • Own the content calendar for both brands, timed to enrollment periods, exam cycles, campus milestones, and the broader marketing calendar
  • Create and publish posts, short-form video, reels, and graphics across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Manage community engagement: respond to comments and messages, clear spam, and route prospective-student inquiries to Admissions
  • Grow student and graduate reviews for both brands: monitor review sites, coordinate outreach with campus staff, and respond professionally to public reviews
  • Track performance, report results monthly, and refresh content when it starts to fatigue
  • Keep every post consistent with each brand’s look, voice, and standards

Content Capture

  • Coordinate photo and video shoots at campuses and events, and gather student testimonials, success stories, and milestone moments
  • Maintain an organized library of reusable assets along with the photo and video releases that go with them

Community Events & Brand Representation

  • Build and manage the HSTi events calendar: career fairs, community and workforce events
  • Represent HSTI in person: staff booths, present our programs, and build relationships with prospective students, schools, employers, and workforce partners, turning in person interactions into actionable leads
  • Run event logistics end to end, including registrations, booth materials, signage, giveaways, invitations, and follow-up
  • Coordinate with printers and promotional-item vendors, gather quotes, place approved orders, and manage giveaway inventory
  • Capture leads at every event and hand them to Admissions or the right partner contact for follow-up
  • Report on each event’s attendance, leads, and cost, and recommend which events earn a spot on next year’s calendar
  • Keep Admissions, instructors, and campus leaders informed of upcoming events and social campaigns

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5 years in social media, community, or event marketing, with ownership of both strategy and hands-on execution
  • A track record of running organic social for a brand, including managing a content calendar and growing engagement
  • Strong content creation skills: writing, Canva design, and shooting and editing short-form video
  • Experience planning and executing in-person events, and confidence representing a brand face to face
  • Comfort with social analytics and turning results into clear next steps
  • Strong organization; you can run two brands’ calendars and a full events schedule without dropping details
  • Experience with social scheduling tools or a CRM is a plus
  • Experience in education, healthcare, or career training is a plus
  • Based in the Los Angeles area, with reliable transportation and availability for some evening and weekend events
  • A portfolio of social content and event work to share during the interview process
  • Scrappy, self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building from the ground up and wearing many hats

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Mission with Meaning - Your work empowers learners to achieve real career outcomes.
  • Room to Run - Operate with startup agility, backed by long-term investor support.
  • Ownership Mentality - Build and lead a high-impact function from day one with autonomy and visibility.
  • Collaborative Culture - You’ll be part of a passionate, fun, and high-performing team that values doing good work and enjoying the process.
