Job description

Marketing Specialist - Campaign Execution and Automation

Founded in 1866, The Sanborn Map Company (Sanborn) is one of the oldest continuously operating mapping and geospatial information technology companies in the US. Our work is highly visual, and our mapped data and applications are an essential part of today’s information economy. We serve many industries and government departments and need to communicate effectively with them about our wide range of products and services. We remain at the forefront of the GIS and photogrammetry industry by offering high quality, technologically superior products and services backed by the industry’s most experienced staff. We are looking for a talented individual to fill this role working in a collaborative environment ready to innovate workflow.

SUMMARY

This Marketing Specialist – Campaign Execution and Automation will help execute the marketing direction established by the Chief Revenue Officer and convert it into coordinated, measurable programs across Sanborn’s revenue verticals: Transportation, Water & Resilience, Utilities, Energy, Natural Resources & Environment, and Property Intelligence. This role owns campaign operations, marketing automation, written communications, digital channels, lead management, and performance reporting.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

Campaign Execution and Coordination

  • Translate CRO-approved priorities into quarterly campaign workplans and monthly production schedules.
  • Manage one enterprise campaign theme per quarter, one priority vertical per month, and a secondary vertical adaptation where appropriate.
  • Prepare campaign briefs that document audience, customer problem, use case, approved proof, offer, channels, schedule, call to action, owners, and KPIs.
  • Coordinate content inputs, approvals, dependencies, deadlines, and launch readiness across internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain the editorial and campaign calendar, intake queue, status reporting, and change-control process.

Marketing Automation, CRM and Lead Management

  • Administer marketing automation and CRM campaign functions, including segmentation, lists, forms, workflows, email deployment, nurture sequences, and campaign tracking.
  • Maintain marketing-contact hygiene and coordinate updates to target-account and audience lists supplied by the CRO, sales, and business development.
  • Route inbound and campaign-generated leads to the appropriate owner and document handoffs.
  • Monitor engagement and conversion activity and identify follow-up needs for sales and business development.
  • Maintain webinar and event registration, reminder, follow-up, and lead-capture workflows.

Written Communications and Content Development

  • Write and edit campaign copy, articles, solution briefs, case studies, newsletters, press releases, announcements, webinar copy, landing-page copy, and sales-enablement language.
  • Interview subject-matter experts and convert approved technical information into accurate, accessible customer-facing content.
  • Create government and commercial message variants without developing separate campaigns for every customer segment.
  • Coordinate technical, customer, legal, brand, imagery, and release approvals before publication.
  • Maintain a consistent editorial voice across Sanborn’s revenue verticals and shared solution practices.

Website, Digital Channels and Public Relations

  • Publish and maintain campaign pages, website content, forms, calls to action, and related digital assets.
  • Apply approved SEO practices and monitor landing-page and website conversion performance.
  • Own social-channel administration, publishing schedules, post copy, scheduling, quality checks, and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate press distribution, partner amplification, employee advocacy, and executive communications as directed.
  • Coordinate specialized web or public-relations vendors when approved.

Measurement and Process Management

  • Maintain dashboards for campaign engagement, email performance, web conversions, social results, webinar outcomes, lead handoffs, qualified meetings, and marketing-influenced opportunities.
  • Conduct monthly campaign reviews and quarterly performance reviews for the CRO.
  • Recommend which messages, content, channels, and assets should be reused, revised, or retired.
  • Maintain documented campaign records, approvals, source materials, and performance results.
  • Enforce production deadlines and elevate capacity conflicts to the CRO for prioritization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.
