In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which includes securing media coverage and publicity for initiatives across various media outlets, requiring excellent communication, media relations, and storytelling skills, and a preference for collaborative environments; collaborate with partners to execute media relations strategies and to evaluate opportunities for new and non-traditional media spaces and managing social media program, as well as emerging mediums.
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
