Job Description

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of the District’s marketing and public relations strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with superintendents and executive staff to ensure marketing campaign goals and strategies are fully realized.
  • Create, design, plan, and manage marketing campaigns to increase student enrollment, build community relationships, raise public awareness, recruit high‑quality employees, and attract donors.
  • Evaluate and report the effectiveness of marketing efforts to ensure achievement of marketing goals.
  • Coordinate brand management efforts.
  • Coordinate and produce high‑quality marketing materials (brochures, flyers, informational packets, videos, direct mail, media announcements, web materials, banners, and other promotional items).
  • Coordinate effective public, social media, and community relations in English and Spanish, including writing news releases, arranging media interviews, handling media at district events, and maintaining positive relationships with media and community organizations.
  • Produce and manage special events such as groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies, represent the school at various events, deliver presentations to diverse audiences, and collaborate with district staff and external organizations to achieve marketing goals.
  • Maintain and update the district’s social media presence.
  • Understand and comply with all district policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of constituents or employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, letters, other communication tools).
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Problem‑solving ability in standardized situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in Spanish highly desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of media operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university (degree in marketing or communications preferred).
  • At least five years of relevant experience (seven to ten years preferred).
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Employment Information
