The function of the Marketing Specialist is to assist the entire marketing team with the overall annual Marketing and Branding plan. Responsibilities include copy writing, editing, content creation, campaign development, and market research. Other responsibilities include coordinating events, developing internal promotions, and providing support to the Marketing Department. The Marketing Specialist should be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the marketing department with execution and coordination of marketing campaigns, special events, employee communication, and annual projects that supports the strategic plan of the Credit Union.
• Coordinate and implement various marketing projects to ensure deadlines and defined goals are met.
• Grow the Credit Union’s social media presence by assisting with social media messaging and social media promotional campaigns.
• Write and edit copy for time-sensitive communications (i.e. emails, newsletters, blog content, etc.)
• Assist with internal requests that drive the credit union’s business objectives and initiatives
• Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data and reports on results.
• Research opportunities for growth by evaluating competitors, trends, and statistical data.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Educational And Work Experience Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Experience in marketing/campaign creation and data mining/research
• Experience with publishing writing and marketing material samples
• Must be proficient in Excel, Microsoft, and Adobe programs

Physical Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation.
