Job description

The Marketing Product Manager will play a key role in executing and optimizing product marketing strategies for Upper Echelon Products’ (UEP) portfolio, with a strong focus on growth across Walmart Marketplace and other big box retail channels (Target and similar). This role is ideal for a data-driven and creative marketing professional with 2-4 years of e-commerce or digital marketing experience, looking to expand their expertise in retail marketplace strategy, listing optimization, and product lifecycle management. The Marketing Product Manager will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Digital Marketing, PPC, Content, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product launches, high-ranking listings, and sustained growth across Walmart and big box retail. This is an opportunity to take ownership of key marketing initiatives while refining analytical, creative, and strategic skills in a fast-paced retail e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products on Walmart Marketplace and other big box retail channels, ensuring strong market positioning and competitive differentiation.
  • Optimize Walmart and big box retail product listings (titles, bullet points, descriptions, rich/enhanced content, backend search terms) to maximize organic rankings and conversion rates.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer insights, and keyword opportunities across Walmart and other retail marketplaces.
  • Work closely with PPC specialists and advertising teams to develop targeted Walmart Connect (and equivalent big box) campaigns that drive product visibility and sales growth.
  • Monitor Walmart Seller Center and other retailer partner portal performance metrics, including conversion rates, organic rankings, ad efficiency (ROAS/ACOS-equivalent), and customer feedback.
  • Support product launch strategies on Walmart and big box channels, including review generation, promotional campaigns, and external traffic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling product imagery, videos, and brand messaging tailored to each retailer's platform requirements.
  • Analyze customer feedback, Q&A, and review data to identify opportunities for product improvement and better positioning across retail channels.
  • Assist in pricing strategy and promotional planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and each retailer's pricing parity requirements.
  • Support off-platform marketing initiatives such as social media, influencers, and external paid traffic campaigns to drive brand awareness for Walmart and big box listings.
  • Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure adequate inventory levels across retailer fulfillment models (WFS, vendor/DSV, drop-ship, etc.), minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory turnover rates, storage fees, and retailer-specific replenishment recommendations to optimize profitability.
  • Assist in developing inventory replenishment strategies to align with promotional campaigns and sales growth projections across retail partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or product management (Walmart Marketplace or other big box retail experience strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with Walmart Connect (or comparable retail media/PPC advertising), external traffic strategies, and A/B testing is a plus.
  • Experience in consumer products, private label brands, or big box retail marketplaces (Walmart, Target, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Walmart Seller Center, retailer partner portals, PowerBI, or Google Analytics; familiarity with Amazon-side tools (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Data Dive) is a plus given UEP's multi-channel model.
  • Experience in inventory forecasting, logistics coordination, or supply chain management is highly desirable, ideally across multiple retailer fulfillment models.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize inventory turnover rates, storage fees, and demand fluctuations.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling, sales forecasting, and market trend analysis.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify market gaps and positioning opportunities across retail channels.
