Job description

Carhartt WIP is part of the WIP Trading AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it has developed its own collections based on workwear originals.

Carhartt Work In Progress aims to continuously progress and evolve, without ever losing sight of its origins. Over the past two decades, our business has developed organically, along with its customers, the culture surrounding the brand, and its employees who have helped shape what Carhartt WIP is today.

As a Data & Analytics Specialist (m/f/x) at Carhartt WIP, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across our e-commerce teams. From leading analytics projects to managing BI systems and dashboards, you'll turn data into actionable insights that support business growth. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, and a proactive, hands-on mindset to drive meaningful impact across departments.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Drive and execute analytics projects to support data-driven decision-making across e-commerce teams, including Paid Marketing, CRM, and Product.
  • Develop and analyze customer segments and audiences to drive personalized marketing, customer retention, and lifetime value.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including ERP and BI teams.
  • Own and manage BI systems used within e-commerce (i.e., Looker, Power BI, Google Analytics), ensuring scalability, usability, and data integrity.
  • Design, build, and maintain key performance dashboards that provide actionable insights for e-commerce stakeholders.
  • Support tracking implementation (i.e., Google Tag Manager, Firebase, Adjust) and define relevant KPIs to effectively monitor and optimize business performance.
  • Translate complex business questions into analytical approaches. Present insights to stakeholders and product owners, turning data into action and supporting customer strategy.
  • Promote a data-driven mindset within the team. Provide methodological guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues, contributing to team development and knowledge-sharing.
Your Profile:
  • Relevant experience leveraging customer data to answer business questions and drive targeting strategies, including advanced statistical analysis. Strong quantitative background with a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong technical understanding of ERP systems, CommerceTools, and data warehouse (DWH) architectures.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing and e-commerce analytics; hands-on experience working with tracking data (web and app) and integrating multiple data sources.
  • Advanced skills in data methodologies and technologies (Python and SQL) and visualization tools, e.g., Looker and Power BI.
  • Proven experience in a data-driven role within e-commerce or a similar digital environment.
  • Fast learner and problem solver; proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented team player.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to tell data stories and bridge commercial and technical perspectives; excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
