Job summary

Dodge Ridge is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of resort marketing initiatives. You will oversee campaign timelines, brand messaging, guest communications, and cross‑department collaboration to align with sales objectives and guest experience.

Work closely with the Cali Mountain Resorts marketing team and creative staff to keep on schedule, on budget, and on-brand across digital and print channels, events, and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years direct marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with cross-functional workflow management and budget discipline.
  • Ability to develop strategic marketing initiatives and spot market trends.
  • Experience with AI-powered marketing tools to boost productivity and content planning.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the master marketing calendar with the Social Media Manager and Photographer/Videographer.
  • Coordinate the creative request process with objectives, asset specs, and timelines.
  • Oversee departmental scheduling, meetings, and asset approvals.
  • Provide operational support for Front Desk scheduling, guest communications, and promos.
  • Lead local PR initiatives and draft press releases, building media relationships.
  • Ensure digital assets and touchpoints are current and optimized.
  • Coordinate event logistics and media coverage with the creative team.
  • Communicate marketing campaigns and results to sales and management teams.
  • Manage marketing budget and liaise with print/production vendors.

About This Role

Summary of Job Purpose

The Marketing Operations Manager serves as the operational leader of the Marketing Department, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all resort marketing initiatives. This position manages campaign timelines, departmental workflows, marketing communications, public relations, and cross-department collaboration to ensure all marketing efforts align with Dodge Ridge's sales objectives, brand standards, and guest experience. Working closely with the Cali Mountain Resorts marketing team and Dodge Ridge's creative staff, the Marketing Operations Manager ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, and with consistent brand messaging.

  • Work in lockstep with the Social Media Manager and Photographer/Videographer to build out and maintain the master marketing calendar, tracking all asset deadlines for upcoming promotions.
  • Facilitate the creative request process. Ensure the Photographer/Videographer and Social Media Manager receive clear campaign objectives, asset specs, and timelines before content creation begins.
  • Manage all aspects of departmental scheduling, organizing team meetings, and routing creative assets through the proper internal approval channels.
  • Provide operational oversight and support for Front Desk scheduling, guest communications, and promotional initiatives.
  • Spearhead local PR initiatives, draft official press releases, and build relationships with local media.
  • Ensure all digital marketing platforms, website pages, and touchpoints are accurate, up to date, and optimized.
  • Organize logistics for resort event planning, contests, and coordinating with the creative team to ensure full media coverage.
  • Manage all resort communications to department managers regarding sales campaigns, events, and social media information being shared with the public.
  • Work within an established budget. Maintain an inventory of marketing collateral and serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external print/production vendors.
  • Help launch, monitor, and optimize advertising campaigns across both digital (PPC, Paid Social) and traditional platforms.
  • Respond to daily questions from the website, social media, and onsite guests.
  • Maintain marketing presence/signage throughout the resort.
  • Meet and greet incoming marketing guests, assist with complimentary tickets and season passes, liaison between marketing and tickets.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to the immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Have the ability to effectively control and coordinate staff in an emergency situation.
Job Qualifications
  • 3 Years of direct marketing experience is required
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing cross-functional workflows, campaign logistics, and strict budgets.
  • Ability to develop strategic marketing initiatives and identify emerging market trends.
  • Strong computer and web editing skills is required. Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality, ski resort, tourism, or outdoor recreation industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience using AI-powered marketing tools to improve productivity, content development, and campaign planning.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability required to access mountain terrain for marketing projects, events, and media coverage.
  • Excellent communication skills, ie, grammar, speaking, writing
  • Video and photography skills a plus
  • Solid understanding of data privacy laws a plus
  • Good physical conditioning, including flexibility, strength and endurance, including heavy and awkward lifting to 50lbs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.

Work Schedules

Weather conditions and the number of guests play a significant role in scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.

When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.

You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snow packed, and icy road surfaces.

Working Conditions

At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.

Uniforms

Professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please always wear your name tag and uniform during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
