What You’ll Do

Are you a diligent and organized project coordinator who thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment and enjoys bringing complex initiatives to life?

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a Marketing Operations (Ops) Coordinator to support a high‑profile portfolio of sponsorships, external partnerships and attorney‑facing programs within the Firm’s Marketing & Business Development (MBD) team. These initiatives help attorneys engage effectively with clients, strengthen the Firm’s presence in key markets and ensure sponsorship investments are coordinated, tracked and assessed with discipline. The Ops team serves as a central connector across MBD, helping align priorities, manage Firm resources and support the CMO.

Reporting to the Senior Ops & Systems Manager, with direct oversight from the Senior Ops Specialist, this position offers strong visibility, meaningful business impact and opportunities for professional growth. Additionally, you will benefit from guidance from the broader Ops team and the CMO and will work closely with colleagues across the Firm’s global BD, research, marketing and communications groups.

  • Sponsorship Management: Coordinate sponsorship deliverables, including attorney and company biographies, advertising assets, branded merchandise, registrations, presentation materials and event‑related content.
  • Program Coordination: Manage sponsorship commitments, speaker participation, deadlines, attendee tracking, stakeholder requests and submissions to keep initiatives running smoothly and on schedule.
  • Budget & ROI Tracking: Monitor sponsorship budgets, collect and document return‑on‑investment (ROI) data and support post‑event analysis to help measure business impact.
  • Speaker Review Support: Assist with external speaker review processes and General Counsel oversight requirements as needed.
  • Attorney Marketing Programs: Support the development and delivery of attorney marketing education programs, tools, and resources that enhance business development efforts.
  • Branded Merchandise Management: Maintain New York office gift inventory, research innovative promotional items and help coordinate branded merchandise procurement across the Firm.
  • Presentation & Content Development: Assist with presentations and multimedia content for key Firm initiatives, including annual partner meetings.
  • Data & Process Management: Maintain Marketing Ops databases and ensure sponsorship activity, stakeholder feedback and ROI information are captured accurately and consistently.
  • Cross‑Functional Support: Collaborate across MBD and contribute to special projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree; with 2-3 years of post‑graduate experience (law or professional service firm experience a plus).
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with attorneys, clients, external partners and colleagues at all levels.
  • Organization & Project Management: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate complex activities, meet deadlines and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Initiative & Judgment: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, adapt to changing priorities, exercise discretion and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Writing & Administrative Excellence: Strong proofreading, writing, and data management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaboration & Professionalism: Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to build productive relationships, maintain confidentiality, and contribute positively across functions.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Copilot. Experience with Salesforce, Emburse, Coupa, Lawline, or Powtoon is an advantage.
