AEG Worldwide in Los Angeles is seeking a Marketing Manager - Festivals to oversee all festival marketing assets, collaborate with artist management, Radio/TV, and the marketing team to craft targeted campaigns and drive ticket sales.

You will develop graphics for show promotions, manage budgets, supervise social media, and coordinate publicity and promotions with labels and PR agencies, while exploring new ideas to reach the right audience.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or PR is required.
  • 4–6 years of related experience.
  • 4–6 years of media buying experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of social media strategies and online marketing.
  • Must be internet-savvy and proficient with Photoshop and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and promo plans for festivals with directors and talent buyers.
  • Generate and manage marketing budgets; book and account for all advertising and media.

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager‑Festivals is responsible for all marketing assets for festivals on the calendar. This position will work in conjunction with artist management, Radio/TV, and the marketing team to create and develop an effective marketing plan that will reach the correct demographic and target customers appropriate for each show. The Marketing Manager will develop graphic content used to inform the general public of shows for the purpose of gaining ticket sales, maintain and track budgets, and oversee social media accounts ensuring they are updated with engaging material.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for the development and execution of marketing and promotional plans, collaborating with festival directors, talent buyers, and the marketing director to plan and oversee the marketing spend.
  • Generate and adhere to the marketing budget; book and account for all advertising and media, ensuring funds are allocated to correct partners and preparing advertising settlements for each show.
  • Oversee social media accounts for each show, develop ad copy, and implement ad schedules to appeal to specific demographics and target customers.
  • Oversee and evaluate show performance, making adjustments to meet marketing strategy in changing market or competitive conditions.
  • Supervise publicity, advance press interviews, and secure and coordinate artist availability for promotions with management, label, and public relations agencies.
  • Develop and pitch promotions to media outlets, contact radio, schedule radio time, set up giveaways, and negotiate rates and contracts with various media outlets.
  • Develop additional marketing opportunities to increase ticket sales when needed, keeping up with current marketing and social media trends to brainstorm new ideas and concepts for assets and promotions to market events.
  • Work with marketing team and artist management to strategize new ways to market shows and reach the correct audience; request graphics for e‑cards, banners, posters, social media posts, radio station needs, and e‑mails.
  • May be responsible for overseeing interns and assistants.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4 years) in Marketing, Business Communications, or PR.
  • 4‑6 years of related work experience.
  • 4‑6 years of experience with media buying.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of social media and online marketing initiatives and strategies.
  • Must be internet savvy.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and MS Office.
  • Creative, detail‑oriented, and capable of juggling multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of the Music industry preferred.
  • Passion for music preferred.
Payscale

$71,000 – $90,176.50

Bonus

This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
