The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. As our Marketing Manager, Content & Thought Leadership, you'll develop and execute strategic content initiatives that position Cox Automotive as an authoritative voice in the automotive industry. Supporting our portfolio of 13 brands and enterprise-level accounts, you'll lead every phase of content execution—from idea generation to production, publication, and distribution across marketing channels in multiple formats.
We're seeking a strategic, results-oriented professional capable of solving business challenges with practical and creative solutions. You'll measure content performance and optimize our approach, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our thought leadership resonates with our enterprise clients.
What You'll Do:
Establish Cox Automotive as the definitive industry voice through strategic narratives
Create content ecosystems that engage clients throughout their journey
Transform complex industry insights into accessible, actionable content
Build measurement frameworks that demonstrate content impact
Align thought leadership with business objectives across our enterprise portfolio
Develop comprehensive content and thought leadership strategies
Create and optimize content across all Cox Automotive channels
Drive industry authority through strategic narratives
Execute content marketing strategies based on buyer personas and product market maturity
Lead content creation across multiple formats (eBooks, infographics, sales sheets, video)
Coordinate content writing and publishing schedules for SEO and social media
Leverage marketing technology to execute content marketing initiatives
Design campaigns and support marketing automation systems
Support social media efforts across platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, blogs)
Manage email marketing and promotional projects
Oversee content formatting, layout, and graphics
Assist with event and tradeshow coordination
Update internal and external marketing portals
Conduct research and coordinate special projects
Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 10% as needed to support marketing initiatives.
Who You Are
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 6 years of experience with content development and thought leadership. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field.
Proven success developing content strategies that meet business objectives
Apply strategic thinking and sound logic to solve complex challenges
Expert writing and communication skills
Experienced with content management systems
Excel at project management and organization
Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with attention to detail
Skilled in proofreading and editing
Intermediate layout and typography capabilities
Understand B2B social media strategy
Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining flexibility
Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 10% as needed to support marketing initiatives.
Preferred:
Degree in marketing, communications, design or related field
