Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience executing multi‑channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong storytelling and content creation across digital platforms.
  • Strong visual sensibility and attention to design and messaging.
  • Excellent writing skills for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with evolving digital marketing trends and paid media.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Sprout Social and Asana.
  • Basic photography, video editing, and/or motion graphics experience.
  • Data‑driven mindset using audience insights to inform decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations.
  • Interest in community engagement and partnerships.
  • Familiarity with web design and SEO.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute engaging multi-channel marketing campaigns across social media, web, email, and print to promote MCC's programs.
  • Draft and edit engaging marketing content for promotional materials that reflect MCC's mission.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and update website content (WordPress).
  • Collaborate with EA's graphic designer to develop visual assets and email templates.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance and use insights to optimize content and targeting.
  • Recommend improvements to messaging and content strategy based on audience data.
  • Partner with MCC leadership and EA's Director of Communications to refine marketing strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with community partners and external stakeholders.
  • Support broader communications efforts to increase press coverage and public awareness.
  • Coordinate production of MCC print and digital collateral with external vendors.
  • Manage marketing calendars, timelines, and deliverables across programs.
  • Maintain organized marketing assets and brand resources with the designer.
  • Ensure timely promotion of programs and events across channels.
  • Oversee marketing budget and cost-effective execution.
  • Guide program teams on best practices for marketing and collateral development.
  • Supervise interns/consultants when applicable.
  • Coordinate cross-team collaboration within Educational Alliance and Communications colleagues.
