Sonesta International Hotels Corporation seeks a Hotel Marketing and Experiential Manager to drive local PR, social media, and on-property partnerships. You’ll align with DOSM, coordinate influencer visits, and manage local content creation and reporting.
Collaborating with F&B leaders and cross-functional teams, you’ll execute brand-aligned programming, support photo/video shoots, and ensure collateral adheres to brand standards across properties.
We’re People People. Are you? We’re Sonesta International Hotels—the 8th largest hotel company in the U.S. (and growing fast). With a dynamic mix of full-service and focused hotels across major cities, our diverse portfolio of owned, managed, and franchised properties means we’re everywhere our guests need us to be. But here’s the thing—we’re not just in the business of hotels, we’re in the business of people. We bring service with passion, loyalty with purpose, and create experiences that genuinely connect—delivering quality, value, and memorable stays across 1,000+ properties in eight countries (and counting).
What this role is all about. Reporting to the property Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM), the Hotel Marketing and Experiential Manager assists with the resort’s social media and public relations efforts, as well as on-property coordination of local partnerships, events and activations. This role supports property-owned channels and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging corporate resources and best practices for property events, activities and platforms managed at the property level. The Hotel Marketing Manager and Experiential Manager works closely with the Corporate Field Marketing Manager (FMM) to help ensure alignment with brand standards, and broader enterprise strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the DOSM to manage local PR agency of record, understanding business and commercial needs in order to inform strategy and plans. Support press/influencer property stays and venue visits on site when needed, coordinating itineraries, photo moments, and talking points. Own the hotel’s social media strategy and content engine, developing robust content calendar and collaborating with property sales and marketing coordinator on planning, creation, scheduling, and reporting. Manage local social media advertising budget, maximizing reach and awareness for F&B outlets and local programming, complementing corporate-managed hotel paid social strategy.
Support the development and coordination of locally driven, brand-aligned programming and partnerships that enhance on-property visibility, guest engagement, and incremental revenue. Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage leaders and local partners to assist in executing initiatives that drive traffic and awareness to on-site outlets for both resort guests and the surrounding community. Work with property leaders to facilitate activation of brand initiatives at the resort level.
Provide on-site support for photo/video shoots as required, coordinating with corporate Brand and Marketing teams on architectural, lifestyle, or partnership-led shoots in accordance with corporate SOP and merchandising standards. Utilize enterprise-provided marketing collateral toolkit to ensure property marketing materials such as flyers, menus, signage, and event collateral are in alignment with brand standards.
Support the DOSM and department leaders in maintaining the annual property marketing calendar, including coordination of seasonal promotions, F&B activations, and recreation programming at the resort level. Participate in internal and external meetings and calls with hotel leadership, sales, revenue, corporate marketing, and external PR partners to help ensure alignment and follow-through on property initiatives. Support the hotel’s presence at local community and industry events, representing the property and brand in a professional and collaborative manner. Stay informed on relevant industry trends and emerging best practices, sharing insights as appropriate to support property-level marketing efforts.
