Overview:

Our leading Software Development client is hiring a Japanese Localization Specialist to start mid February 2025. The Localization team’s mission is to ensure that the company’s website, content, and messaging look natural to users in their own countries. The team is a group of passionate and motivated people from all over the world who excel in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment. They work cross-functionally with all the teams to help educate and provide guidance on the globalization and localization processes, ensuring a successful presence in all of their international markets.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and localize the Japanese website, newsletters, e-mails to partners, use cases,

sales documents, and all marketing materials

• Verify all cross-functional marketing translations and be the expert on

our Japanese market

• Maintain all Japanese glossaries and style guides, helping to define their Japanese brand strategy

• Act as a consultant to the organization on Japanese language and culture

• Support organizational localization initiatives and build relationships with key

stakeholders

Qualifications:

• BA or equivalent, preferably in a translation, marketing, or related field (required)

• Native speaker of Japanese (required)

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English (required)

• Culturally savvy with a good sense of judgment on the appropriateness of content for the

target country audience

• Strong project management, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and verbal/written

communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across organizational teams

• Experience with analytic software preferred

• Cross-functional experience working with Product, Marketing and Community teams preferred
