Ameritas in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Marketing Intern - Communications to assist with internal and external communications and ensure the company brand is clearly articulated across written and digital channels. This hybrid role begins in May 2027 in Lincoln, with in-office and remote work.

As an intern, you'll support planning, research, writing, publishing, and metrics tracking while gaining exposure to corporate relations and brand management in a mutual company environment.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled part-time in college for the full internship duration in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • Commitment: part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer.
  • PT: 10–20 hours/week; FT: 30–40 hours/week.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change, build relationships and take initiative.
  • Interest in marketing communications strategies and ability to write about the business accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.

Job Description

Ameritas is looking for a Marketing Intern - Communications to drive the business by assisting the team in the development, production and implementation of the Company's corporate relations both internally and externally as the champion for ensuring the Company's brand is properly and consistently articulated in written and digital communications.

This is a hybrid role in Lincoln, NE working partially in-office and partially from home starting in May 2027.

What you do

What you bring
  • Enrolled in a college program at least part-time for the entire course of the internship studying Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or another related field.
  • Able to fulfill a year-round commitment - part-time (PT) during the academic school year and full-time (FT) during the summer
  • PT includes 10-20 hours a week
  • FT includes 30-40 hours a week
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change, possess strong relationship-building skills and take initiative
  • Interest in marketing communication strategies
  • Ability to ask questions and write accurately about the business
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

About this Position's Pay

The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization.

Pay Range $13.33 - $26.67 / hour
