Job summary

Waybox is looking for a marketing intern who will draft and schedule social content across channels, cut launch videos, and monitor conversations in forums and subreddits. You will perform market research and help run the waitlist email program while keeping the content calendar and asset library up to date.

We seek a current student or recent graduate with native-level English and a good sense of tone. Basic video editing with CapCut or Premiere is expected; you should be self-directed and able

Qualifications

• You can demonstrate platform-specific posting and engagement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Draft and schedule social content across channels being built.
• Edit short video clips for use in product launch materials.
• Engage with communities by answering questions and gathering feedback.
• Summarize competitive and market insights so actions follow.
• Support waitlist email campaigns and maintain the content calendar.
• Keep the asset library organized and up-to-date.

Job description

We are small enough that an intern’s work goes out rather than into a folder. You will write posts that publish, cut clips that get used, and bring back what people are actually saying about products like ours.

There is no curriculum and no shadowing. There is a launch coming and more to do than people to do it.

What you’ll do

• Draft and schedule social content across the channels we are building.
• Cut short video from launch and drive footage.
• Community: answer questions, gather feedback, and keep a pulse on the forums and subreddits our buyers live in.
• Competitive and market research, summarised so it can be acted on rather than filed.
• Help run the waitlist email programme.
• Keep the content calendar and the asset library honest.

What we’re looking for

• A current student or recent graduate — marketing, communications, journalism, or simply able to show the work.
• Native-level written English and a good ear for tone.
• You use the platforms seriously: you know what does well on each one and why.
• Basic video editing — CapCut, Premiere or similar.
• Self-directed. We will not be able to fill your day for you.

Nice to have

• A channel, newsletter or account of your own with an audience.
• You actually care about cars.
• Basic design in Figma or Canva.
• Mandarin, for working with the Shenzhen team.

Terms

• Paid internship, rate negotiable.
• Los Altos or remote; part-time during term, full-time over the summer.
• A full-time offer is on the table for interns who work out.
