Job description

Winding Branch Ranch is looking for a creative, curious and mission-driven Marketing & Content Intern to help tell the stories unfolding across the sanctuary.

Think of this role as being a voice for the land and the animals who call the sanctuary home.

Our work includes agricultural education, conservation-based learning, community programs and farm animal rescue. Every day there are stories worth telling, from a child planting their first seed to an animal beginning a second chance.

We need someone who can help us capture those moments and turn them into content that connects people to our mission.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work alongside our team to:

  • Film short-form video content throughout the sanctuary
  • Capture animals, programs, events, volunteers and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Create Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories and other social content
  • Write captions, short-form copy and storytelling pieces
  • Help develop content ideas and recurring social media series
  • Interview staff, volunteers, visitors and community partners
  • Help document the changing seasons, gardens, pastures and conservation work happening across the property
  • Assist with marketing for programs, events, fundraising campaigns and animal rescue stories
  • Help organize our photo and video library
  • Look for the stories we may be too busy to notice
Who We’re Looking For

You do not need to know everything about farming, agriculture or animal rescue.

You do need to be curious.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Loves storytelling
  • Is comfortable filming with a phone or camera
  • Understands social media and short-form video
  • Can write clear, engaging copy
  • Notices small moments and understands why they matter
  • Is comfortable around farm animals, dirt, mud and the outdoors
  • Can work independently while also collaborating with our team
  • Wants to create content with meaning behind it

Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, photography or video editing is a plus, but creativity and willingness to learn matter more.

More Than Social Media

This internship is not about standing in an office scheduling posts all day.

You’ll be out in the sanctuary.

You might film a preschooler discovering where carrots come from, document a newly rescued animal arriving at the ranch, follow volunteers restoring a pasture or capture something unexpectedly beautiful happening in the garden.

Then you’ll help us figure out how to tell that story.

Because sometimes the land cannot speak for itself.

Neither can the animals.

That’s where you come in.

Winding Branch Ranch strengthens communities through agricultural education, conservation-based learning and farm animal rescue.
