Job summary

The Jonesboro Advertising & Promotion Commission is seeking a creative, organized, and results-oriented Marketing Specialist / Events Coordinator to support marketing, communications, tourism promotion, and events in Jonesboro.

This full-time, non-exempt position combines marketing design with hands-on event coordination. You will develop promotional materials, manage social media content, coordinate vendors and events, and represent the commission at community activities in Jonesboro.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; data entry may be required.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, Canva, Capcut, and other creative software.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with City of Jonesboro Department Heads and other city leadership for events.
• Assist with content management for social media channels and TourJonesboro.com.
• Create and design advertising and promotional materials for print and digital.
• Coordinate vendors and event logistics; manage setup and takedown for events.
• Represent the Jonesboro A&P Commission at local events, trade shows, and community functions.
• Prepare and manage budget tracking, invoicing, and vendor coordination.
