Job summary

Under general supervision of the Community Relations & Event Specialist, this position provides technical and administrative support for marketing, promotional presentations and events.

Responsibilities include developing and executing creative ideas for events and social campaigns, covering city events with photos and live posts, researching information for promotional presentations, and offering marketing support to staff.

Qualifications

• In progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• Experience managing multiple social media accounts and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing creative ideas for events, campaigns and social marketing.
• Cover city events with photos and live social posts.
• Research and assemble information for promotional presentations.
• Provide event and marketing support to staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Interact professionally with the public and coworkers.
• Occasional weekend work for city events as needed.
