Jani-King of Pittsburgh is seeking a Marketing Engagement Specialist to grow our brand and pipe in Pittsburgh through in-person outreach, local events, and proactive prospecting. You will feed field insights to the Marketing team and partner with leadership to drive event-driven sales opportunities.

This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on training, commission potential, and growth into outside sales or marketing roles with coaching and wins recognition.

This full-timeMarketing Engagement Specialist opening is built for someone who wants real experience on both sides of the business, sales and marketing, without picking just one. Position Summary

The Marketing Engagement Specialist keeps our pipeline full and our brand visible, introducing Jani-King to new business prospects through in-person visits, local events, and steady outreach, while also feeding real field insight back to our Marketing team. You're the bridge between a first conversation and a closed deal, and between a name on a list and a face in the community.

What it takes to succeed: You're comfortable starting conversations with strangers, you don't get rattled by a slow week or a door closed in your face, and you treat the brand side of the job as seriously as the sales side. You take feedback well, adjust fast, and show up with the same energy on day 90 as day one.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Brand Representation

• High-Volume Prospecting: Turn a cold knock, a call, or a quick introduction into a real conversation, and eventually a booked meeting. We'll hand you proven scripts and real training to get there.
• Engage Decision-Makers: Introduce Jani-King's services, ask the right questions, and figure out fast whether there's a fit.
• Territory Management: Own your routes across Pittsburgh's core business districts, from Downtown and Oakland to the Strip District, South Side, and North Shore, plus growing markets like Robinson Township and Cranberry, and know them better than anyone else on the team.
• Brand & Event Representation: Show up at local business events, expos, and chamber functions as the face of Jani-King in the community.
• Appointment Scheduling: Book the win, qualify interest and lock in solid appointments for the sales team, with clean notes so nothing gets lost in the handoff.
• Relationship Building: Build connections that last through consistent, genuine follow-through, not just a one-time pitch.
• Marketing Collaboration: Team up with our Marketing team on messaging and campaigns, and watch the insight you bring back from the field actually shape what goes out next.
• Lead Follow-Up: Revisit prior contacts, inbound leads, and event connections to keep your pipeline alive.
• Results Tracking: Keep your own numbers, activity, follow-ups, progress, and use that data to show what you've built.

This is a full-time, on-site role that blends in-office planning with active fieldwork across Pittsburgh's core business districts, Downtown, Oakland, the Strip District, South Side, North Shore, Robinson Township, and Cranberry. In the office, you'll plan routes, log activity in the CRM, and work directly with leadership and Marketing on strategy. In the field, you're on the move, meeting people face-to-face, representing the brand, and finding opportunities a desk job would never surface.

This isn't a desk-bound role, and it isn't meant to be. You'll be part of a team that celebrates wins, shares what's working, and keeps raising the bar together.
