The PMO Squad is seeking a fractional Marketing Design Project Manager for a month-to-month contract with our Marketing Agency client. This person will manage the design, development, and deployment of digital product design projects (e.g., website design/redesign, web portal design, mobile/web application design, ecommerce site design, etc.) for external client projects for a scaling marketing agency. Ideal candidates will have immediate part-time availability to begin fractional contract work.

Position: Fractional / Part-time Contract; monthly review and renewal

Pay: $50-$60/hr. DOE

Location: Remote | Candidates must reside in the U.S. and be willing to work across all U.S. time zones to accommodate client needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and budget, that accurately reflect strategic project vision, scope, and delivery team needs.
• Collaborate with internal team members, external partners, and clients to define scope of digital product features and deliverables.
• Effectively manage a combination of design and technical resources comprised of both internal team members and external partners to deliver functional, user-centered UX/UI design projects.
• Act as a primary operational contact and provide client with regular updates, assist with expectations, and address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure that all project deliverables meet the requirements as defined in the corresponding scopes of work; participate in design QA to ensure that all designs meet agreed upon requirements.
• Keep project team and operations team regularly updated on the financial health of the project, proactively flagging overservice risks and driving profitability management strategies, including execution of project change orders and addendums when needed.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting agendas and notes, and change requests. Ensure all documents are current and accessible to team members and stakeholders.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and gather insights for future projects.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a digital marketing agency or a comparable industry required.
• Experience managing common digital product design workstreams and activities, including but not limited to design workshops, visual comps, requirements gathering, feature prioritization and backlog management, prototyping (via Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, etc.), wireframing, design testing and validation, design and development sprint execution, user acceptance testing, etc.
• Expertise in both Agile and waterfall project management.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheets, etc.); experience in Basecamp strongly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-player with a collaborative mindset.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
