Job summary

The University Book Store on State Street in Madison is seeking a Marketing Design Intern to join our onsite team. This part-time role runs August 2026 through May 2027, requiring 15 to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule centered on weekdays and occasional evenings and weekends for events, including Saturdays for Badger Bash.

As a Marketing Design Intern you will design promotional materials, assist in video/photo production, and publish social content under the guidance of the Marketing

Qualifications

• Experience using InDesign and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with Illustrator is a plus.
• Knowledge of major social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design promotional materials including in-store signage, displays and advertisements.
• Support in production and editing of videos and photos.
• Create and publish engaging content across social media as directed.
• Stay updated on design and social media trends.
• Promote University Book Store at events as needed.
• Work with Marketing Supervisor on various projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Attend events as a store representative; act as the mascot “Booky” when needed.
