We’re looking for a detail-oriented, technically capable data specialist to own the integrity and consistency of marketing data attribution and tracking across our digital ecosystem on our Pimsleur Language Learning team.

This new role would ensure seamless data integration between marketing, ecom, backend technology solutions. Oversee our first-party data across our technology stack including data ingestion, hygiene, and syndication while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of digital tracking, marketing technology, and data quality assurance, but who doesn’t need to write production level code or conduct deep analytics.

You’ll collaborate across Marketing, Product, Developers, and Data Analyst to ensure our marketing attribution and customer data is accurate, timely, and reliable, so that everyone can make better, data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain product and marketing tracking across web and app platforms. Manage technical implementation for marketing attribution across platforms such as GA4, Amplitude, Kochava, Ecom, etc. You’ll manage the data layer and ensure clean, structured event capture.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including learning platforms, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing tools, and third-party APIs.
  • Build and maintain data models in cloud data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery).
  • Map data flows and system integrations. Diagnose and resolve issues related to data flows, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Maintain consistency in attribution values and key metrics across tools. Collaborate with analysts to align definitions, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure confidence in our marketing and customer data.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data security standards.
  • Implement and maintain server-side tracking and data integrations (e.g., Facebook Conversions API) to enhance marketing attribution and optimize campaign performance.
  • Act as a liaison between developers, analysts, marketers, and decision-makers to align data strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems by managing imports, exports, extracts, file transfers, and integrations with external platforms, including Salesforce Service Cloud, Amplitude, native backend systems and e-commerce platforms.
  • Support data governance efforts by enforcing data quality checks, access controls, and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for vendors and external partners managing marketing technologies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in operations, with a focus on system integrations and data management.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, CDPs
  • In-depth knowledge of first-party data implementation strategies and their application in business processes. Familiarity with API integration, data transformation, and scripting in Python or similar languages.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.

Preferred

  • Experience in direct response marketing or Ed Tech, subscription services or digital mobile apps
  • Certification in relevant marketing platforms or methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with tools like Confluence, Jira, or Trello.
  • Proficiency with tag management solutions (e.g., Tealium, Google Tag Manager, etc.)

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
