SWCA, a global employee-owned environmental consulting firm, is seeking a highly-skilled Marketing Data Analyst to significantly impact the data analytics capabilities of the Marketing team. This full-time, regular (with benefits) hourly position is open to remote candidates across the continental United States, with an option to work from our offices if preferred.

This role involves leveraging Power BI techniques, a working knowledge of data architecture and design, and advanced data visualization and data storytelling capabilities. The position also requires someone with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, coordinate and support multiple projects, be flexible with changing priorities, and work both collaboratively and independently. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are a must.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Design and implement complex Power BI reports and dashboards, utilizing advanced DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals to support cross-departmental decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define and execute data models that support efficient marketing data analysis and reporting across various platforms and departments.
  • Be the go-to resource for client feedback, sales, opportunities, digital marketing, and CRM-related analytics and insights.
  • Collect, compile, manipulate, analyze, and present marketing data from disparate sources.
  • Work with organizational data and Business Intelligence (BI) program team to maintain existing BI products and develop new products to meet marketing - and broader business - needs.
  • Create data visualizations and written summaries to ensure effective communication of data insights and their implications on the business.
  • Proactively identify data gaps and partner with ERP, CRM, DAM, and other marketing system or channel managers to enhance marketing-related data collection.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data governance, data quality, and data privacy to maintain high standards of data integrity and compliance.
  • Use advanced data visualization and storytelling techniques to help internal data consumers understand, interpret, and use information to make decisions or create action plans.
  • Support the annual business planning process with up-to-date marketing data and planning templates.
  • Support quarterly marketing and sales KPIs tracking and benchmarking.

Experience and qualifications for success

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in marketing analytics, business analytics, or a related field, with at least 2 years focused on Power BI design.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in data architecture principles, including dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and creating custom visuals in Power BI.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering data analytics projects within a dynamic and complex organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical or industry-relevant discipline (i.e., business administration, finance, marketing, computer science, information technology, data science, statistics, etc) very helpful.
  • Experience in marketing or corporate support roles for B2B companies; AEC industry preferred
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric

An employee in this position can expect an hourly salary of between $31.80-$41.34. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
