Position overview:

The Marketing Coordinator / Senior Marketing Coordinator supports integrated marketing and communications initiatives that elevate the Launch Tennessee brand, advance the organization’s mission, and increase awareness and engagement across its programs, initiatives, events, content, and stakeholders.

A hands‑on member of the Marketing, Communications, and Events team, this role also works cross‑functionally with other LaunchTN departments and alongside entrepreneurs, investors, ecosystem partners, sponsors, and external vendors to coordinate campaigns, produce and distribute content, maintain owned channels, and deliver a consistent brand experience.

The ideal candidate is an organized, collaborative, curious, and creative marketer who enjoys turning ideas into action, managing multiple projects, and working in a fast‑paced environment. They will serve as a day‑to‑day partner for select programs, events, and initiatives and embody a hands‑on, lean‑forward, ‘no job too big or too small’ attitude.

Exact title (Coordinator v. Senior Coordinator) will be determined based on candidate’s experience and skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management

  • Support integrated, cross‑platform campaigns promoting LaunchTN programs, events, partnerships, initiatives, and organizational priorities.

  • Coordinate campaign timelines, content calendars, creative requests, approvals, and deliverables to keep projects on track.

  • Develop and adapt audience‑specific messaging and promotional materials across email, social, web, and other owned channels.

  • Serve as a day‑to‑day marketing contact for assigned programs and projects, translating goals and audience needs into effective promotional plans and deliverables.

Digital, Social, and Email

  • Support day‑to‑day management of LaunchTN’s social channels, including content development, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and monitoring.

  • Support website and other digital properties through content updates, new webpage creation, and ongoing review.

  • Support the production and distribution of newsletters and targeted email campaigns, including content development, formatting, testing, scheduling, audience segmentation, and list management.

  • Stay current on trends, platform updates, and emerging opportunities, sharing relevant ideas and suggestions with the Marketing team.

Event Marketing & Strategic Activations

  • Coordinate marketing timelines, promotional deliverables, communications, creative assets, and cross‑functional requests.

  • Support event promotion across owned and partner channels.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, sponsors, partners, and vendors on information, assets, approvals, promotional opportunities, printed and digital collateral, signage, and more.

  • Support event registration, attendee communications, promotional codes, confirmation and reminder communications, surveys, and other attendee‑facing information, as well as post‑event wrap‑ups, content collection, and reporting.

Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Track performance across marketing, digital, social, email, content, and event promotion efforts; maintain reporting tools and regular summaries.

  • Support post‑campaign and post‑event reporting, documenting results, and insights to inform future marketing efforts.

Original Content & Storytelling

  • Support LaunchTN’s editorial calendar across digital, social, email, and owned media channels in alignment with brand voice.

  • Bolster recurring content series and campaigns by coordinating story ideas, assets, featured subjects, and publishing schedules.

  • Assist with content capture and production, including interviews, photography, video, quotes, and approvals, as well as research, briefs, and production coordination.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Maintain organized project files, marketing calendars, content & asset libraries, and campaign documentation.

  • Build strong working relationships with LaunchTN teams to understand priorities, needs, and timelines.

  • Participate in marketing planning, project kickoffs, brainstorms, and campaign reviews.

About You / Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or related role. Agency, nonprofit, startup, or event marketing experience is a plus.

  • Hands‑on digital marketing experience, including familiarity with website content updates and CMS platforms (WordPress or similar), social media publishing and management tools, email marketing platforms, and basic digital analytics.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives, competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders while keeping work and deliverables on track.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine appreciation for getting the small stuff right—including spelling, punctuation, links, dates, names, formatting, and messaging—without losing sight of the bigger picture.

  • Experience supporting large‑scale live activations. Comfortable engaging with logistics, vendors, partners, and attendee‑facing details in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Cool, calm, and collected under pressure. Able to maintain a positive, professional presence during public‑facing events and high‑volume moments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.

  • Lean‑forward, hands‑on team player with a “no job too big or too small” attitude and an all‑hands‑on‑deck mindset, ready to jump in and pinch in wherever needed. Collaborative and service‑oriented.

  • Curious and eager to learn, with an interest in marketing trends, social platforms, digital storytelling, and new ways to reach and engage audiences.
