The Marketing Content Specialist will be responsible for creating content specific to their market and/or the broader business. Such content will be used across multiple channels such as our website, third-party industry publications, social media platforms, email, conferences, events, and in presentations. These efforts will be an essential part of telling our company narrative, maintaining and enhancing our brand image, and driving business growth.
This person is an exceptional writer that can successfully organize the full cycle of content—long-form and short-form—from collaborative ideation to execution.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Marketing Content Manager to create thought leadership content that motivates, inspires, educates, informs, and provides information to all our target audiences, including current clients and partners, prospective clients and partners, as well as the industry
- Produce content for blog posts, press releases, product collateral, sell sheets, case studies, white papers, and web pages by collaborating with internal teams on creation of content that advance business objectives
- Partner cross-functionally with subject matter experts to gain understanding and insights regarding personas, product positioning, messaging, and customer pain points
- Partner with the Marketing Revenue (demand generation) and Product Marketing teams to optimize content across the digital journey
- Collaborate with the design team to produce content that aligns with our brand style and voice standards
- Identify other thought leaders and writers in our industry and invite them to contribute original content as appropriate; and contribute content to them reciprocally
- Proofread and edit content for errors and inconsistencies in style, tone, brand voice and design structure
- Use knowledge of SEO and content marketing to create digital content that helps us be found via search engines, and establishes Raptor as a leader within the industry
- Track and report on content effectiveness based on project specifications; make adjustments as needed for optimization
- Conduct competitive research and stay current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content
- Other relevant projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in a Content Marketing role where following in-house style guides and supporting a brand identity is important
- Experience creating content for a technology-based solution or business, preferably in the target market segments of K-12, safety, behavioral health, or similar
- Passion for K-12 school safety and child mental health issues and sharing that information through clear and compelling writing
- Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) to maximize web traffic using keywords
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills (a portfolio or writing sample will be required)
- Attention to detail while creating new content, conducting research, interviewing subject matter experts and aligning content deadlines with existing marketing programs
- Ability to work cross functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage projects across a variety of personas and mediums
- Preference given to those experienced using most of the following tools: Jasper (or other Marketing AI tools), SEMRush, Sharepoint, Canva, Monday, Teams, and Outlook
