About this position

Position Summary:

The Marketing Content and Public Relations Specialist is a vital role in the Lake Regional Health System organization. This position facilitates the development, monitoring and execution of Lake Regional Health System’s communication through a variety of marketing tools and digital space platforms. This role will be a brand ambassador by creating a positive image for the organization and work under the direction of the Manager of Public Relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, write, edit, and proofread compelling internal and external communications, including marketing materials, website content, announcements, and promotional messaging
  • Manage hospital social media platforms through strategic content creation, scheduling, audience engagement, and brand-focused communication
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with organizational branding standards
  • Support public relations efforts by developing clear, professional messaging that enhances the hospital’s image and communication goals
  • Monitor and manage online reputation across digital platforms, including Google Reviews and NRC feedback systems
  • Respond professionally and appropriately to online reviews and patient feedback while maintaining brand integrity and patient-centered communication
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to gather stories, updates, and content that support organizational initiatives and communication priorities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing and communication digital campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and visibility
  • Track and analyze website, social media, and reputation management metrics to support communication strategies and performance reporting
  • Ensure consistent voice, messaging, and visual branding across all digital and printed communication materials
  • Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 1-3 years of professional marketing content experience, with a demonstrated focus on digital space platform.
  • Working knowledge of websites best practices and how they apply to content strategy.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to brand voice and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible content
  • Self-starter with close attention to detail and follow-through
  • Analytical approach to content performance with a drive for continuous improvement
Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Travel Expectation: Less than 10% of the time.

Working Environment: Position is located in an office setting but occasionally outdoors for events or special projects.

Work Location: This position is located at LRHS main campus.

Physical Demands: Prolonged standing and sitting in a stationary position, typing, visual acuity, ability to carry objects up to 25lbs for events and/or transporting marketing items, effective communication with internal and external customers, and occasional lifting, bending, and stooping.
