Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago’s Hyde Park area is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to develop internal and external communications and multimedia content for Comer Children’s Hospital. This hybrid role requires coordinating with the Nursing Pediatrics Admin team in Hyde Park and supporting brand messaging across channels.

The ideal candidate has strong writing/editing skills, CMS experience, AP style knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects with timelines.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in communications, English, journalism, or related field.
• Three (3) to six (6) years in communications or journalism.
• Skilled writer and editor.
• Experience managing web content CMS for publishing.
• Knowledge of packaging and distribution strategies for content.
• Able to collaborate with creative staff, administrators and medical professionals.
• Knowledge of AP style.
• Deadline-driven and capable of juggling multiple tasks.

• Maintains brand messaging for UCMC/BSD
• Evaluates communications plan success and reports findings to department leaders
• Participates in process improvement

Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Marketing Communications Specialist for Comer Children's Hospital. This position is hybrid, and you will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.

The Marketing Communications Specialist develops internal and external communications, including multimedia content for the web.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
