Coordinator, Global Talent Management & Operations

Location: New York - 10011

Duration: 12 Months Contract


Experience: VIP talent & publicity, very detail-oriented, can prioritize appropriately, excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders & external clients/agents, admin/operational heavy - record keeping.

Remote model for now. NOT looking for general marketing Coordinators - please focus on Coordinators with experience in entertainment/VIP.


DESCRIPTION:

Expect 3 rounds of interviews.

Supporting Lifestyle Brands: Food Network Kitchen, Discovery+, HGTV.

THE ROLE

The Coordinator position will reside in the Lifestyle Division of Global Talent Management & Operations and will ultimately be based in the New York office once offices reopen. This person will provide operational support for the GTMO team across Lifestyle networks and DTC businesses. This is a 12-month contracted role reporting into the Director, GTMO.


JOB DESCRIPTION
  1. Support overall operational workflow of team initiatives and tasks led by the Lifestyle GTMO team.
  2. Track and help manage internal requests from network teams and support groups, as well as external requests from partners, clients, and third parties for various talent across the organization.
  3. Track milestones in the talent's personal and professional lives with a focus on understanding the talent's deal terms, interests, skills, expertise, etc.
  4. Maintain talent information in Discovery's talent database, including contact information, representation, brand use, and other key details.
  5. Accompany and manage talent at activities and events, such as marketing and ad sales shoots, upfront presentations, etc., once in-person events are reinstated.
  6. Coordinate talent travel and logistics.
  7. Research and arrange gifting for talent and other external parties as needed.
  8. Perform other administrative and related duties as assigned.
  9. Collaborate closely with the GTMO team to ensure business priority access to Talent, understand contractual compliance, troubleshoot Talent issues, and leverage Talent and deals in order to support content, events, and network and corporate business initiatives.
  10. Support numerous projects in a dynamic environment ensuring and communicating clear prioritization to GTMO team while recognizing and appreciating the additional projects that members of the GTMO team have outside of these central/operational projects.
  11. Support and coordinate projects with clear milestones and expectations, ensure quality delivery to meet deadlines, support GTMO team and clients in understanding context of project and priority, and communicate proactive and continuous status of projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-4 years of work experience in entertainment, Talent management/relations, project management, and/or event management.
  • Experience managing needs of VIPs.
  • Eagerness to contribute and thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile, deadline-driven, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read and understand Talent contract language.
