  • Maintain editorial calendar aligned with strategic priorities, events, and communication objectives.
  • Conduct interviews with residents, staff, volunteers, board members, and community stakeholders to develop stories.
  • Research, write, edit, and coordinate content for Grand Lifestyles magazine.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal departments and resident groups to ensure timely and accurate magazine production.
  • Monitor editorial timelines and proactively communicate upcoming deadlines and content needs to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all written communications adhere to The Grand's brand standards, messaging, and copy style guide.
  • Serve as a resource for editorial standards, grammar, and writing best practices across the community.
  • Write and distribute media advisories and other public relations materials as needed.
  • Utilize project management systems, content management platforms, and AI-powered tools to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor communication trends and recommend innovative content strategies that enhance resident engagement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Role Description

The Content Specialist is responsible for creating compelling, informative, and engaging content that supports resident engagement and promotes The Grand's brand, programs, amenities, and community initiatives. Serving as the organization's primary writer, this position develops content across print and digital platforms, including magazines, newsletters, websites, blogs, email communications, and public relations materials.

The Content Specialist also plays a key role in the production of Grand Lifestyles magazine by coordinating editorial submissions, managing content workflows, and ensuring projects remain on schedule through the publication process. This position maintains editorial standards, oversees consistency in brand voice and messaging, and collaborates with departments across the organization to identify and communicate stories that matter to residents and prospective homeowners.

Education and/or Experience

  • 2 –3 years’ experience performing a range of marketing or communication duties
  • Ability to drive multiple content projects with overlapping timeframes
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
Skills
  • Must demonstrate agility with various digital platforms and tools
  • AP Style experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Comfort with working directly with residents and internal teams

**Salary range is $24.00 - $25.00/hour depending on experience.**
