Position: Marketing Associate - Digital & SEO Specialist

Location: Remote (preference near Madison, WI, but open nationwide)

We're expanding our reach and looking for a smart, digitally fluent Marketing Associate to help us grow our online visibility and convert traffic into nonprofit client opportunities. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for developing, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns, maintaining and enhancing our content and brand presence, and reporting on performance against KPIs and OKRs.

What You’ll Do:

As our Marketing Associate – Digital & SEO Specialist, you will help drive brand visibility, lead generation, and growth. This role is hands-on, responsible for executing digital marketing initiatives that strengthen eCIO’s online presence and attract nonprofit clients.

The ideal candidate is fluent in SEO, paid search, and digital campaign execution, with an interest in leveraging tools like AI and video to scale content and engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership to shape the brand’s voice, manage our website, optimize for search, run targeted campaigns, and create compelling marketing content to communicate eCIO’s unique value to the nonprofit sector.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute our SEO strategy—on-page, off-page, and technical.
• Manage and optimize Google Ads and other paid search campaigns.
• Plan and launch email marketing campaigns via Hubspot to engage audiences and support business development efforts.
• Maintain and optimize eCIO’s website with SEO-driven updates and fresh content.
• Manage and grow eCIO’s social media presence to drive awareness and engagement.
• Develop, produce, and distribute marketing content—including blog posts, newsletters, presentations, videos, and thought leadership pieces—tailored to our nonprofit audience.
• Leverage AI tools for search optimization, content creation, and workflow automation to scale marketing efforts.
• Monitor trends in digital marketing, nonprofit communications, and B2B marketing to keep strategies current and effective.
• Analyze performance metrics (traffic, rankings, conversions) and report on impact.
• Collaborate with our internal team to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging.

What You Bring:

• 2–5 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in a startup or B2B environment, with a strong SEO foundation.
• Skilled in Google Ads and email platforms (HubSpot is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
• Comfortable producing polished decks and one-pagers in Canva.
• Strong writing, attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Bonus: experience with HubSpot, Webflow, CRO, or nonprofit marketing.
