AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking a Marketing and Events Specialist to support the Field Marketing team in planning and executing the company’s annual event marketing strategy.

The role involves coordinating trade shows, customer-facing events, and internal summits, while collaborating with sales and marketing teams to ensure consistent reporting and budget alignment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong Excel skills, and experience supporting field events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required.
  • Experience supporting field marketing or sales-facing events preferred.
  • Familiarity with budget tracking and logistical support for events of varying scale.
  • Experience working in or supporting a large, matrixed organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact events.
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, catering, audiovisual setup, and supply ordering.
  • Coordinate the distribution and inventory of tradeshow assets, including booth components, signage, and marketing collateral.
  • Support the Field Marketing team in tracking and reconciling event-related expenses; ensure timely processing of invoices and adherence to budgets.
  • Manage shipping logistics for events and tradeshows, including coordination with warehouse teams and tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of events and exhibit materials, including printed collateral, giveaways, and booth furnishings; coordinate updates or production of new assets as needed.
  • Assist in overall marketing budget management.
  • Perform additional marketing and event coordination duties assigned to support departmental goals and timelines.
  • Travel to event locations and other conferences/trade shows as needed.

Job description

The Marketing and Events Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Field Marketing team with the planning and execution of the company’s annual event marketing strategy. This includes a wide range of initiatives such as trade shows, customer-facing field events, and internal summits.

In this role, the specialist will work closely with both field marketing and sales teams, while also providing broader support across general marketing operations. Responsibilities also include assisting with budget planning and tracking, managing vendor invoices, and ensuring accurate reporting of expenses to help maintain alignment with overall marketing budgets.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact events.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting field marketing customer or sales‑facing events preferred.
  • Familiarity with budget tracking and logistical support for events of varying scale.
  • Experience working in or supporting a large, matrixed, or global organization is a plus.
