Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing and Digital Content Coordinator will provide short-term coverage to support the CLUES’ marketing and communications efforts by creating content and designing promotional visual materials for media and target audiences and executing social media campaigns on a variety of web-based platforms. The coordinator is focused on increasing, broadening, and deepening program participation, and making the public aware of CLUES’ mission and work. The Marketing and Digital Content Coordinator should be a skilled bilingual writer, designer, and communicator who is fluent in Spanish and English, capable of thriving and adapting in a fast-paced and dynamic organization while maintaining a commitment to CLUES mission. This temporary position will provide short-term coverage, with an approximate duration of 2 months upon hire, with potential to become a permanent role based on performance and organizational needs.

Position Type: Temporary, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time. Generally, Monday - Friday; office hours.
Pay: $25.00/hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Will vary based on current needs. General responsibilities include:

Marketing and Communication (40%)
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive marketing content for webpages; blog and social media posts; online and email campaigns; videos; and other digital and print content.
  • Draft and publish marketing, web, social media, and newsletter copy as assigned, tailoring voice to various audiences.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor and marketing team to maintain editorial calendar.
  • Repurpose newsletters and web content into compelling social posts.
  • Maintain an active, relevant presence on CLUES social media networks.
  • Plan and execute programmatic digital marketing campaigns.
  • Compile weekly measures and campaign results (social media metrics reporting and analysis).
  • Work with the development team and the Marketing and Communication Director to create compelling and conversion-driven email content.
  • Build, edit and test template-based email campaigns.
  • Write, review, and coordinate the creation of the CLUES monthly newsletter.
  • Assist Marketing staff with day-to-day projects as directed.
Digital Content and Branding Development (35%)
  • Maintain internal policies, practices, procedures, and develop internal resources as graphic design templates to use for staff members.
  • Collaborate with Marketing director and staff program to create frequent, engaging original, and translated content across social media channels utilizing common media formats including video (short clips, editorialized video) and images (including GIFs).
  • Act as a liaison for internal staff by providing guidance in graphic materials and social media to promote their programs.
  • Partner with CLUES staff to produce creative, engaging social media and print content that maintains the brand and gives a representative and inclusive voice to our diverse audiences.
  • Design and edit physical and visual communications for programming campaigns and events, including brochures, fliers, signs, swag, digital content, etc.
  • Writing and editing articles and success stories, conducting interviews as necessary.
  • Closely collaborate with the Marketing supervisor to keep CLUES brand and messaging cohesive. Ensuring digital and external communications represents the diverse and inclusive community CLUES serves.
  • Organize information & streamline content.
Multimedia Projects: Photo and Video (15%)
  • Design and develop video, photo, and graphic assets to drive participants enrollment, donor engagement and staff and community interest.
  • Film and edit video content of CLUES programs and events.
  • Archive media material into Marketing portfolio.
  • Support the production of visual storytelling across multiple platforms, using graphic design, photography, and videography to inform and engage CLUES’ target audiences.
General Duties (10%)
  • Perform basic website updates.
  • Participate in communication with external agencies, vendors, and partners.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams.
  • Work on special projects and assist with other departmental duties as needed.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, agency policies and other applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Promote the mission, operating values and agency services of CLUES within the community and cultivate relationships with potential service collaborators and partners.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Experience & Key Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, audiovisual communications, or related field preferred. Combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
  • Minimum one year of experience working within communications, outreach, or nonprofits required, two years preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills in both English and Spanish are required, with a passion for storytelling.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, websites and/or professional social media management and skilled in creating and executing digital content.
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize work assignments, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to contribute to problem-solving activities within a growing, changing organization.
Language Skills
  • Effective communication in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials, including reports, contracts, and proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and information in an organized and effective manner, including writing reports.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and respond appropriately to questions from clients, co-workers, management, and external parties.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of email software, the Internet, databases and common Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Graphic design and video editing skills.
