Phospholutions, Inc. is an award-winning, venture-backed agtech start-up enhancing global phosphorus use. Headquartered in State College, PA, the company is expanding RhizoSorb technology to reduce environmental impact of fertilizers and help growers maximize crop inputs. We are hiring a Marketing and Communications Manager. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates in Saint Petersburg, FL or State College, PA area.

This individual will report to our Vice President of Sales and Marketing (VP).

JOB OBJECTIVE

The person hired will lead the company\'s marketing and communications initiatives, including internal and external promotion of the company\'s mission, vision, products and technology across all channels. This role will execute campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels; maintain marketing assets; plan and coordinate events, trade shows, and webinars; and manage external agencies, vendors, and media contacts. The Manager will track and report marketing performance against KPIs, provide actionable insights, support brand positioning and thought leadership through content creation, and ensure messaging consistency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sales Enablement & Lead Support
    • Capture marketing-generated leads, coordinate and support the sales team to maximize follow-up and conversion
    • Support, maintain and update promotional materials and marketing assets ensuring effective use of materials
      • Materials and assets include website content, sales collateral, product guides and presentations
    • Assist the VP with public relations initiatives as needed
  • Internal and External Communication, Coordination & Planning
    • Serve as point of contact for internal and external communications
      • Work closely with all company departments and external partners to execute effective communications
      • Coordinate PR efforts with media and other external partners
    • Own the planning, coordination and execution of industry events, trade shows, webinars and other marketing-related activities
      • Manage the logistics, vendors, materials and post-event follow-up to maximize impact and ROI
    • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers and contractors to ensure high-quality deliverables that are on time and aligned with our company objectives
  • Market Insights and Innovation
    • Conduct customer discovery and track industry trends to inform marketing initiatives
    • Identify tools, technologies, and opportunities to enhance marketing activities and audience engagement
  • Budget
    • Assist with tracking marketing expenditures and provide recommendations to the VP for resource allocation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years of direct marketing experience in the agricultural/agronomy industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Experience executing marketing campaigns across digital, social and traditional channels
  • Proven track record planning and managing events, trade shows and webinars
  • Experience generating creative and original marketing collateral, presentations, and visual content that supports brand consistency
  • Experience coordinating and effectively working with external agencies, vendors, consultants and/or media partners to achieve shared goals
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, continuous basis. This company does not sponsor applicants for work visas
  • Solid knowledge of Agtech or agricultural industry trends, customer needs and market dynamics
  • Self-starter motivated and driven to exceed goals while working effectively with minimal direction in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical reasoning with the ability to interpret data, draw insights and apply logical reasoning in support of marketing execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Creative Suite, CRM software
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and external consultants
  • Some travel to industry/company events and field sites – 10 to 25%
  • A valid driver\'s license and ability to drive to multiple work locations, as needed
  • Background checks will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures and other prescribed best practices/industry standards
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • The job is primarily indoors in a traditional office setting with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional lifting up to 40 to 50 pounds
