Position Summary
ARRM is seeking a creative, organized and collaborative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of the association's marketing, communications, and digital presence.
This role works across the ARRM team to turn programs, events, resources and organizational priorities into clear, engaging communications for our members and broader community. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and hands‑on creator who enjoys writing, design, digital marketing and bringing ideas to life. This position reports to the Senior Director of Member Services.

ARRM is a nonprofit organization of nearly 200 provider organizations dedicated to leading the advancement of home and community-based services supporting people with disabilities.
Our mission is to advocate for, inform and support Minnesota organizations serving people in the disability and mental health communities.
Position Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate and execute ARRM's marketing and communications efforts across programs, events, membership and organizational initiatives.
- Maintain an organization-wide communications and marketing calendar to coordinate priorities, deadlines and campaigns.
- Write, edit and produce member communications, email campaigns, newsletters, promotional materials and other content.
- Work with ARRM staff to turn program information and ideas into clear, engaging and member-focused communications.
- Maintain consistency in ARRM's brand, voice and visual identity across communications.
- Track marketing and communications performance, including email, website and social media engagement, and use results to help improve future efforts.
Digital, Social Media & Content
- Manage and update ARRM.org, ensuring content is accurate, current and easy to navigate.
- Manage ARRM's social media channels, including developing content, creating graphics, scheduling posts and engaging with ARRM's online community.
- Create digital and print graphics and marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
- Develop and maintain a library of photos, graphics, templates and other digital assets.
- Support photography, video and other content creation at ARRM events and activities.
- Identify creative ways to tell ARRM's story and highlight our members, programs and impact.
Events & Education
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns for ARRM conferences, workshops, webinars and other educational programs.
- Create event materials including promotional graphics, signage, presentations, programs, sponsor materials and attendee communications.
- Support event websites, registration communications and mobile event platforms.
- Provide onsite communications and marketing support at ARRM conferences and other programs as needed.
- Manage sponsor recognition and marketing fulfillment through digital, print and event communications.
- Partner with the Member Engagement & Event Manager to ensure event communications and materials support the overall attendee experience.
Membership, Engagement & Recognition
- Partner with the Member Engagement & Event Manager to develop communications that support member recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention.
- Promote member benefits, resources and opportunities through ARRM's communications channels.
- Identify and share member stories, successes and examples that demonstrate the value and impact of ARRM membership.
- Support communications and marketing for associate members, sponsors and other ARRM partners.
- Serve as staff liaison to ARRM's Awards Committee and coordinate the annual member awards program, including timelines, nominations, committee support and recipient communications.
- Develop communications and recognition materials that highlight award recipients and share their stories across ARRM's channels.
What We're Looking For
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate clearly and conversationally to different audiences.
- Demonstrated graphic design and visual communication skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
- Experience managing websites and digital content.
- Experience creating and managing organizational social media content.
- Experience with email marketing platforms and digital campaigns.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities and follow projects through from idea to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Comfortable collaborating with a small team where priorities can shift and everyone pitches in.
- Ability to attend and provide onsite support for ARRM events as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working for a membership association, nonprofit organization or similar environment.
- Experience marketing conferences, educational programs or events.
- Experience with association management systems or CRM platforms, such as iMIS.
- Experience with Higher Logic or similar email and member engagement platforms.
- Photography and/or basic video editing experience.
- Familiarity with analytics and using performance data to improve marketing efforts.
- Experience in disability services, health and human services or another member‑driven industry is helpful, but not required.
