• Work with Corporate Communications group to provide regional input for internal activities/events and external communications.
• Coordinate NA Sales STP process – Function as gate keeper of STP activities.
• Establish and facilitate tri-annual NA STP management meetings.
• Coordinate/assemble group inputs for STP planning and group level presentations; maintain/enhance presentation materials.
• Collaborate with finance and manufacturing to align plans with the 5 year business plan (capex, budgeting & forecasting).
• Function as Power User for the NA data within the SONAR system.
• Update the 5 year sales plan with inputs from sales groups.
• Publish quarterly updates on changes and impacts to the sales plan.
• Develop and maintain competitor database based on sales intelligence.
• Develop and maintain market potential database based on portfolio and NA vehicle production.
• Handle special assignments and data analysis as directed by management.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews of products/technology at OEM customers and participate in OEM townhall events.

Summary

Under limited supervision this position supports the NA Business Group and Customer Business Units (CBU’s) to ensure alignment with corporate communications and marketing objectives, development and communication of strategic planning activities (STP) and the maintenance of the SONAR system (global sales forecasting system) that support the strategic sales planning activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with Corporate Communications group (Communications Specialist) to provide regional (NA) input for internal activities/events, and the associated external communications developed for regional distribution
• Coordinate NA Sales STP process – Function as “gate keeper” of STP activities
• Establish and facilitate tri-annual NA STP management meetings.
• Coordinate/assemble group functional inputs for STP planning and group level presentations. Maintain / enhance presentation materials to support the group reviews
• Work with various stakeholders such as finance and manufacturing so their plans are in line with the 5 year business plan. (Example – capex, financial budgeting & forecasting)
• Function as “Power User” for the NA data within the SONAR system.
• Working with the different sales groups, maintain and update the 5 year sales plan to make sure business opportunities and their impacts are properly captured.
• Develop and publish quarterly updates so the organization is aware of changes and impacts to the sales plan.
• Based on intelligence from sales group, develop and maintain competitor database to understand who won business and at what pricing.
• Based on product portfolio and North America vehicle production, develop and maintain market potential database.
• Special assignments and data analysis as directed by management.
• Works with the cross functional team to organize product/ technology reviews at the OEM customer.
• Attends OEM townhall events with key team members.
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Associates degree required; Bachelor degree in Marketing / Business Administration, accounting, finance, or technology preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience in relevant discipline preferred
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting a plus

Language Ability

• Ability to write detailed reports, analysis and correspondence, effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and vendors

Math Ability

• High, proven math skills are required

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form

Computer Skills

• MS Word, Excel, Access and other database programs, Internet software, e-mail, knowledge of manufacturing software especially MS Project, SAP knowledge is a plus.

This position works under pressure of deadlines with interruptions occurring regularly. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines. Travel may be required.
