Job summary

Matador Resources Company in Dallas, TX is seeking a Marketing Analyst to support commercial activities around Matador assets and midstream entities. You will analyze oil & gas markets, price postings, and coordinate product movements with field personnel and purchasers.

The role requires a degree in a related field, strong Excel/Office skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Training will be provided; prior oil & gas exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in marketing, data analytics, accounting, business, math, or related field.
• Proficient Excel VBA and gas plant accounting is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain relationships with colleagues and field personnel.
• Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Team player mentality and willingness to learn new applications.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to ask questions and be a motivated problem solver.
• Training will be provided to develop software competence.
• Prior Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyze industry trends in the oil and gas markets.
• Schedule and coordinate movement of crude, natural gas, and NGLs to meet contractual obligations.
• Provide accurate and timely publishing of prices for postings and pricing mechanisms.
• Identify and seek business opportunities, oversee deal-making including analysis, due diligence, negotiating, settlements, and closing.
• Create pricing models and reports in a clear, concise manner.
• Communicate with Field Personnel and Purchasers to facilitate product movement.
• Assist with audit requests and SOX compliance.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as needed.
