Job summary

Hefty Seed Company, based in Baltic, SD, seeks a detail-oriented Marketing Production Assistant to join our growing team. You will support apparel coordination, large-format print production, and the final stages of marketing projects while maintaining inventory and coordinating with vendors.

Candidates should have 1 year of graphic design experience and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud; agricultural knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of graphic design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Software.
• Experience with large-format print is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate company apparel and promotional items and maintain inventory.
• Operate and maintain large format print equipment (plotter, laminator).
• Conduct the final stages of various print and design projects.
• Print banners, posters, signage, and event graphics and manage inventory.
• Assist with photography, design elements, production, orders, and shipping.
• Communicate with outside vendors including printing and promo companies.

Hefty Seed Company is looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Production Assistant to join our team. If you are interested in a fast-paced work environment with a successful and rapidly expanding organization, we are the company for you. Since 1969 we have grown our company from a small family business into one of the largest ag-chemical retailers in the nation. We have maintained that same small family business culture as we value our employees and believe family is first. This position is based out of our Baltic, SD office and is not remote.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate all company apparel and promotional items and maintain inventory


• Perform all aspects of the large format print, plotter, and laminator, including operation and maintenance


• Conduct the final stages of various print and design projects


• Print various marketing materials such as banners, posters, floor graphics, signage, print advertisements, and event graphics, and maintain inventory


• Assist with miscellaneous marketing projects including taking photographs, creating design elements, production, order management, and shipping logistics of a variety of items


• Communicate effectively with outside vendors including printing and promotional companies

Requirements

• 1 year of graphic design experience preferred


• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Software


• Previous large format print experience and production concepts are helpful but not required


• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment


• Ability to respond in a professional and productive manner


• Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and work independently


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs


• Great communication and proofreading skills


• Photography skills are beneficial but not required


• Agriculture knowledge or background is a plus!
