Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of retail sales, account management, wholesale grocery, or route sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, leadership, coaching, planning, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to convert data into action.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and syndicated data.

  • Manage routing, call coverage, distribution, and merchandising execution.
  • Communicate goals and track performance.
  • Identify business opportunities and execute plans to achieve market objectives.
  • Guide strategic plans focused on distribution, merchandising, pricing, promotions, category management, and revenue growth.
  • Evaluate customer performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of retail and account metrics.
  • Partner with BDMs and KAMs to align market priorities.
  • Build strong customer relationships while acting with integrity.
  • Translate company strategies and policies into actionable plans.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and cross-functional partners.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, coaching, and employee development.
  • Create development plans using the Sales Competency Model.
  • Foster a high-performance culture.

The Market Sales Manager is a key leader within our sales organization, responsible for all sales and execution activities in an assigned geography, including retail sales, account management, and wholesaler sales. This role drives distribution, promotion execution, merchandising, product freshness, customer engagement, and team performance. The position uses data-driven insights to develop customer-focused business plans, manage budgets, and foster a culture of cooperation, credibility, candor, consistency, and high performance.

Your Day-to-day

Annual Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000
