Job summary

Mercer is seeking a Market Sales Leader to oversee a regional sales team, mentor Sales Associate and Senior Sales Professionals, and maintain direct involvement with key accounts and strategic opportunities. Qualifications

• 7-12+ years of experience in consultative or strategic sales.
• At least 2-3 years of sales leadership, coaching, or management experience.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams and drive net-new business growth.
• Strong experience managing complex sales cycles, pipeline discipline, forecasting, and CRM rigor.
• Demonstrated capability to coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Sales Associate and Senior Sales Professional team members to drive performance, skill development, and career growth.
• Develop and execute annual business development plans, including territory analysis, target account strategies, campaign planning, and sales goals.
• Thrive in an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
• Oversee prospecting, demand generation, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline to build a strong and predictable sales pipeline.
• Support sales execution by engaging key accounts, leading proposal reviews, contributing to complex negotiations, and helping close important deals.
